Working student in the area of software development for AVL EXCITE f/m/d
Aufgaben:
As part of the development team, you can help improve the quality and usability of the software by assisting in various testing activities. These tests range from simple development tests of compact units/features to comprehensive workflow tests of entire tool chains. You will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the basics of the software development process and the associated testing activities. Your job will also involve supporting various testing activities, particularly those involving third-party CAD and FEM software. Supporting the development of test procedures and instructions using state-of-the-art test-tracking tools will also be part of your job. Together with the team you will record test activities. You will contribute to software usability tests, with a particular focus on solving engineering-related problems. Your role will also involve doing basic coding work and utilising Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data exchange between software tools. Assisting the development teams by contributing to conceptual work and feasibility studies will also part of your job. You will work with standardised interfaces, such as REXS, for model and data exchange.
Qualifikationen:
Ongoing studies (university/FH) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics Interest in drive systems and mechanical engineering components Initial experience with state-of-the-art 3D CAD and FEM tools Strong affinity for technical software and experience with software packages for mechanical engineering Knowledge of the Python programming language Quality awareness and precise working methods Ideally, experience with multi-body dynamics simulation
