Postdoctoral Researcher - Medical Virology
Aufgaben:
Conduct innovative research projects focusing on clinically relevant RNA viruses.
Independently develop and perform cell culture infection experiments with biosafety 2 and 3 pathogens.
Within specific projects, mentor and train undergraduate and PhD students and cooperate with technicians.
Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with virologists, medical doctors or biochemists.
Present findings in scientific meetings and publish research in high-impact journals.
The applicant will closely work with the lab and science management and receive technical support.

PhD in virology, infectious diseases or a related field. Strong publication record.
Strong background in virology, molecular biology and cell biology.
Strong background in molecular biology techniques and complex cell culture models. Experiences in immunology are a benefit.
Hands-on experience with pathogens up to BSL-3.
Excellent analytical, data reporting and communication skills.
Strong ability to work independently while collaborating in an interdisciplinary setting.
Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus but not required).
Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
