PhD position in Medical Virology
Aufgaben:
Optimize and compare advanced virus infection cell culture models of flaviviruses
Validating antiviral targets for DENV and other flaviviruses
Characterize cellular response against antiviral substances (proteome, immune signaling, etc) to mechanistically dissect virus-host interactions on a molecular and cell-biological level
Work with RNA viruses (e.g. Dengue, Zika) in a BSL-2 and BSL-3 environment
Collaborate with wet lab scientists and medical staff
Qualifikationen:
Master's degree in Infectiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field in the life sciences
Ideally background or specialization in virology
Experience working with cell culture models and molecular biology methods
Strong written and spoken English language communication skills
Highly motivated, organized, collaborative and independent
Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required
